So last year, Christmas of '08, I got a tablet. Unfortunately, it didn't work. The CD it came with wouldn't open, the pen only let me draw horizontal lines, and it wasn't compatible with the family mac or my linux laptop. For a whole year, I would keep trying to get it to work. But it didn't. SO..... this year, Christmas '09, I got another tablet. Wacom. Bamboo. It is like heaven in technology form. I even use it as a mouse now, because it's so smooth. I'm editing old pictures, drawing new ones, using COLOR (omg!) and other wonderful stuff. Now when I want pictures up, I don't need to (ahem): sketch in pencil, trace in pen, erase pencil, scan in, fix lighting, clean up lines, color, fix more lines, etc. Now I can just draw and color right there. I have no idea how I survived so long without it.... but seriously, I would recommend investing in one. It's my favorite new toy.
